Ways to pay your service charge


There are a number of ways that you can pay your service charge.

By phone
Please call 020 8825 8291 between 9am and 5pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) or 9am-6pm (Thursday). Please have your debit card details ready. (We are unable to accept credit card payments.)

Using the internet
If you hold a debit card from any UK bank you can pay your service charge via the internet free of charge. Payments will be updated onto your account within five working days. At the moment we are updating accounts in two to three days. First-time users need to register online before they can make payments. Visit internet payments to register and follow the steps outlined. This service is run through the Alliance & Leicester BillPay and is a safe and secure website. If you have already registered, log on using your email address and password. All payments made through this site will show on your own personal history, which is your proof of payment.

Using internet or telephone banking
If your bank offers this service, you may be able to arrange a direct payment. You will need to contact your bank or access your account via the internet and arrange to make a direct payment to us. You will need to provide our bank account number: 00000000 (eight noughts), our bank sort code: 57-66-52 and reference number: (your service charge account number). Our bank is National Westminster.

By cheque
Please make all cheques payable to London Borough of Ealing and write your service charge account number on the reverse. Please send all cheques to: Home Ownership Services, Ealing Homes, Westgate House, Westgate, Hanger Lane, London W5 1YY.

By payment book
You can use your payment book to make payments at any bank, building society, Post Office, or the cashiers office at Perceval House. New payment books were sent out in March 2007. If you did not receive a new payment book and wish to pay by this method, please contact Home Ownership Services.

By standing order
A standing order form will be supplied each year with the service charge invoice allowing you to make payments directly from your bank. Please note that the standing order needs to be set up each year in April to reflect any changes in charges. You may download a standing order form from the following link or contact us to have one sent in the post. The standing order form needs to be returned directly to your bank or building society.

By Direct Debit
This is the most efficient and cost-effective method and avoids the need to adjust a monthly standing order each year. For more information or a mandate form please contact Home Ownership on 020 8825 8291. All leaseholders who have paid their service charges by Direct Debit for more than six months will be entered into a prize draw. There will be two prizes of £250.00.
