Resident Council

Resident Council

The Resident Council is one of the many ways Ealing Homes’ residents can be involved in helping to influence the decisions that affect their homes and the area they live in. Members of the Resident Council regularly meet with senior officers from Ealing Homes and Ealing Council. They are involved in discussing policy and strategy issues. Recommendations from the Resident Council are then taken to the Ealing Homes Board or Executive Team. Meetings are held in the evening five or six times a year, usually in the Town Hall and are open to the public to observe.

The Resident Council works closely with other resident groups, particularly the Tenants' Forum.

Members of the Resident Council represent the areas of Acton, Ealing, Northolt and Southall and have been elected by tenants and leaseholders living in these areas. In order to help them carry out their duties they receive training on all aspects of housing including finance, legal issues, Decent Homes etc.

Details of elections for members are published in Key Issues and on the Ealing Homes website. If you are interested in becoming a Resident Council member, or if you would like information about the Tenants' Forum, contact the Strategic Involvement Team on freephone 0800 328 3632, email involvement@ealinghomes.net or write to: Strategic Involvement Team, Ealing Homes, FREEPOST LON 16139, London W7 2BR.
