Diversity Forum
The Diversity Forum is a new approach to develop new and innovative ways of involving
socially excluded groups in the consultation process and make sure their views are heard and used
in the decision-making processes of Ealing Homes.
Ealing Homes residents' profile is made up of 64% (which includes white) who are of BME
(Black and Minority Ethnic) background. The Diversity Forum aims to develop new ways
of involving socially excluded groups in the consultation process and to be fully sensitive to the
varying natures and diverse needs of the black and minority ethnic communities in Ealing.
Ealing Homes aims to ensure that service delivery is tailored to meet cultural and language
issues to BME residents. In order for us to deliver the range of services required, we want to
involve various agencies, to demonstrate our commitment to black and minority ethnic residents and
effectively pool resources to meet their needs. This will also help increase BME resident
satisfaction.
Aims of the Diversity Forum:
- Increase resident participation in the form of meetings and feedback sessions
- Have a ready forum when needed and ensure residents having a better understanding of Ealing Homes
- Increase tenant satisfaction by shaping services to meet residents' needs
- Develop new and innovative ways of involving socially excluded groups in the consultation process
- Increase staff awareness to the varying natures and diverse needs of the black and minority ethnic communities in Ealing.
