Who's in charge of what?
The Estate Services Structure Charts may help you to understand who is responsible for each aspect of Estate Services.
- The Caretaking Manager is responsible for all the caretakers across the borough and is there to ensure that the cleaning and caretaking activities are carried out to standard on on the days they are required to happen.
- The Contacts Manager is responsible for the mobile cleaning team, ensuring appropraite cover is in place in liaison with the caretaking manager. This role is also responsible for the monitoring of any SLA's we have in place and the jet washing team.
- The Quality Officer role is there to carry out independent checks to ensure that standards are being maintained and this is done in conjunction with the published cleaning standards.

The majority of our Senior Caretakers have considerable experience and are trained to Stage 2
BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science), some of these are also trained assessors. We have an
ongoing programme of training to ensure that our Seniors have the technical expertise to fulfil
such a demanding role and many of our caretakers also have received either BICSc training or an
equivalent NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning Standards.
