What is done by Estate Services?


Ealing Homes Estate Services team works with residents to improve and maintain estates. Ealing Council is responsible for some service areas which are identified in the table below.

What Ealing Homes will do Sweep and mop lifts daily, internal areas and stairwells weekly. Respond to reports of spillage, litter and other mess within three working hours  Client with SLA.  Additional litter picking on land managed by Ealing Homes  -
Ealing Council will do - Weekly litter picking on all external areas with exception of private gardens.  Access to fenced/gate areas facilitated by Ealing Homes All public land every week on housing estates and deep cleans every 4 weeks

What you should do Tell us when rubbish and litter is building up in this area  Report any lights that you find not working or coming on at the wrong time 

Make sure that your rubbish is wrapped in small bundles so that it does not block the chute

Do not leave your bags or rubbish on the floor of the chute room. Report blocked chutes and dirty chute rooms 

What Ealing Homes will do Sweep the paths weekly, clear any rubbish, spray and remove weeks and moss as necessary  Check all communal lighting once a week, and change light bulbs and adjust timers when necessary 

Clear blocked chutes within 24 hours.

What Ealing Homes will do Remove litter from the grassed areas every working day and from the shrubs and rose beds once a week  Client with SLA

Service Domestic Refuse/Bulk rubbish  Flytipping Reporting repairs 
What you should do a) Contact Ealing Council on 020 8825 6000 to remove up to 8 individual items in a single collection for £20.b) Put your bulk rubbish in the the front, side or rear of your property only on the morning of its collection  Tell us about any flytipping, giving us as much detail about those responsible (for example, a vehicle registration number) 

Report repairs by phoning the contact centre on 0800 181 744 or by visiting your local service centre or emailing staff at repairs@ealinghomes.net. You will get a job reference number and be
told the target time we will take to complete the work

What Ealing Homes will do - Client with SLA Provides an additional Bulk waste removal service on large estates due to the high volume 

Ealing Homes Estate staff will inform Repair Link of repairs or faults to communal areas, lifts and entry phones on a daily basis 

Ealing Council will do Remove all reported bulk items within 10 working days Removes small fly-tips weekly on housing estates on day of scheduled cleaning and within 24 hours at other times when reported. -

Notes:
a) All customers, including EH call the Council to report.
b) Where EH has SLA there are monthly SLA meetings.
c) EH pays for its services from the Council including management costs.
d) EH costs are re-charged to leaseholders.
