A new Respect Standard for Housing Management was launched by the Department for Communities
and Local Government recently. Former Ealing Homes managing director Su Gomer was invited to speak
about Ealing Homes' work in empowering and involving residents, and a group of seven teenagers from
Rectory Park Estate who have taken dance classes as part of our action06/07 project were invited to
perform.

Ealing Homes also got the thumbs up from Respect Task Force Deputy Director Martin Jones when he visited Ealing Homes. Mr Jones, who met with staff at Dawley House, was reportedly impressed with the passion of our ASB teams and said it was a “great visit”. Su Gomer (former Ealing Homes Managing Director) invited him down to show him the work Ealing Homes is doing to address ASB, including the Mobile Security Dog Patrol unit, which is currently being run on selected estates.
