The Voids & Disrepair Team take charge once a tenant leaves a property, making sure it is
improved to meet
Decent
Homes standard. They also get involved in some major repairs work, when it is required in
order to avoid unnecessary litigation.
Decorations allowance
Tenants are eligible to receive a decorations allowance at the start of their tenancy if the
property needs redecorating. Also in specific cases, decorations allowance is given to the
tenant after repair works.
The allowance is calculated on the basis of the rooms, which need decorating, with a
different allowance per room.
