Ealing Homes announces new CEO
Susmita Sen, currently interim Chief Executive at Hackney Homes, has been appointed Chief Executive of Ealing Homes with effect from the 25 April 2008, following the departure of Colin Mayhead, interim Managing Director.
Susmita has over 20 years in the housing sector, most recently at Hackney Homes were she was Director of Housing before moving on to become interim Chief Executive.
Susmita Sen said: “I am delighted to join Ealing Homes and have the opportunity to help shape its future. I want to engage with our residents, whatever their background or lifestyle, so we can develop a service that meets their needs. Not just sometimes, but every time.
Ealing is the third most ethnically diverse borough in the country, with some 19,000 council
homes.

Ealing Homes has been in operation since 2004, managing 19,000 tenanted and leasehold properties on behalf of Ealing Council.
It is run by an independent board of directors but Ealing Council is its only shareholder and remains the landlord of the homes.
Ealing Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO). An ALMO is a company set up by a local authority to manage and improve all or part of its housing stock. High performing ALMOs are eligible for additional funding from the Government.
