On Thursday 28 January Ealing Homes, in conjunction with the police, obtained a crack house closure against the occupant of 23 Churchill Court, Newmarket Avenue, Northolt.
Class A drugs were found at the premises following a search warrant executed at the property by the police on 17 December 2009. In addition, the Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) Team had received numerous reports of antisocial behaviour linked with the premises which contributed to the closure being granted at Ealing Magistrates Court.
Harps Dhaliwal, ASB Team Manager, said: “Churchill Court had seen an increase in reports of
unauthorised persons using the block’s communal areas to loiter and use and supply drugs. Working
closely with the police, we were able to provide sufficient information to them to support their
own intelligence and present this as evidence at court. This led to the closure order being
granted. Residents should be assured that we will continue to work with them and our partners to
address drug related activity and in this case, we are now preparing a case for repossession of the
premises.”
