And the winners of the ROAR Awards are...
This year’s Recognising Outstanding Achievements of Residents Awards, held on Tuesday 9 June 2009, were a resounding success.
Over 100 guests, made up of residents, Councillors and the Deputy Mayor Cllr Mr John Ross and Deputy Mayoress Mrs Nicky Ross, attended the event at Ealing Town Hall.
The ROAR Awards were held to recognise achievements by residents in four categories: Individual, Young Person, Group and Project. Nominations were sent to the Strategic Involvement Team at Ealing Homes and an independent panel decided on the eventual winners, who were:
Individual

3rd place: Ron Kirkwood
Young Person
1st place: Adam Scott
Group
1st place: South Acton Together
2nd place: Vibrant
Project
1st place: Homework Classes on Green Man Lane
2nd place: Breaking Barriers – IMPACT Theatre Group
