Did you know there’s a number for you to call when you need to get in touch with the police, but it isn’t an emergency so you can’t dial 999?
0300 123 1212 is the number to call if you’re in London and you want to contact the Metropolitan Police Service but it isn’t an emergency situation.
Making sure 999 isn’t used when it shouldn’t be means the police can respond quickly and safely to real emergency calls – such as when a crime is happening, someone suspected of a crime is known to be nearby, or someone is injured, being threatened or in danger.
Ring 0300 123 1212 in other circumstances to report an incident that has already happened, speak to local police or to seek advice.
Calls to a 0300 number will cost no more than those to 01 or 02 numbers.
Don’t forget the Ealing Homes antisocial behaviour out-of-hours telephone hotline too. Call
freephone on 0800 032 1540 to report any instances of antisocial behaviour outside office hours.
This service is available seven days a week from 6pm to 2am and will pass all reports received to
the relevant ASB Team to follow up.
