The Ealing Homes ASB team has been successful in securing an injunction against an Acton
woman following continued harassment of three students on the estate.
Action was taken following incidents of verbal abuse, threats of violence with a knife and
attempted arson. The ASB team attended Brentford County Court on Thursday 17 July to make the
application for an ex-parte injunction.
The district judge did not hesitate in granting the injunction in the woman’s absence. This
gives the police full power of arrest in order to protect the victims from further threats. A full
hearing will now take place next month.
Harps Dhaliwal, ASB Team Manager said ' This individual was responsible for causing
continuous harassment and annoyance that gradually got worse. We felt it necessary to take
immediate legal action in order to protect the victims from what could result in a life-threatening
situation. Should the perpetrator breach the terms of the injunction, she will be subject to arrest
and could face a custodial sentence. Ealing Homes will not tolerate any form of harassment directed
towards our residents and will take immediate action through the courts to prevent this.'
